just found out hereditary problems.

My grandfather on my moms side has diabetes, history of heart attacks, and pulmonary disease, and sleep apnea. We also have breast cancer. I am very concerned with my health now. I'm 21 and lately have been feeling really sick with shape tummy pains, headaches, and dizziness/faintness. I went to the ER twice they only found that I had low potassium. What should I do...can I get some advice please...

  • Does you grandmother have type 1 or type 2, type one can be genetic, type 2 is do to poor diet, lack of weight management etc.. Heart attacks are also caused mostly by the persons own doing, smoking, too high sodium intake, high fat diets etc. Sleep apnea is most offen caused by being over weight.... So alot can be avioded by simple diet changes, adding plenty of exersice, and not smoking or quit smoking.. You can increase your potassuim by eating potassium rick foods and lay off soft drinks. If you want more info PM me, I might be able to help more.
