What does the Easter Bunny bring your child/ children?

Are your children's Easter baskets religious, sweet, springy, colorful, or what? Does your child have an Easter basket that the EB fills each year? Or does the EB bring a new basket each year? I think having the same Easter basket each year is a great idea environmentally. But what are some good/ not wasteful basket fillers??

  • I don't use an actual basket, we buy the reusable totes from Toys R Us and fill them up then he can use it as a library bag afterwards! I fill it full of books from my website www.ubah.com/dhullum I make sure to add a religious book or two also we carry The Easter Story which I think is great and bibles etc for kids. Then I put in a few bathtime body paints, lip balms and soaps/bubble baths etc from Avon www.youravon.com/dhullum Then I get him a cross for every single holiday. I usually find good ones at the family christian store! :)

  • we generally do a stuffed animal and a plastic toy. we include very little candy since we don't give the chloe candy unless she has done something good. we generally include cheap jewelry for chloe that will match her easter dress. bunny ears are a favorite of hers. ... and eggs of course (she doesn't know that she's suppose to have to find them, so i am not telling her. i remember tons of times my parents were frantically trying to remember where they hid the last couple of egg so that they wouldn't end up spoiled in some hidden location)

  • oh they get new baskets every year, mostly because we use them to hold toys and odds and ends in their room... so they are always put to good use.

  • Mine will get new baskets this year but keep them for next year. The boys (who are older) will each get a new Bakugan, a nerf ball, and some small candies and maybe a book. My daughter, who is 4, will be getting a coloring book, new jump rope, stuffed animal, and a few candies. That is all they really need, since anything else would just be a waste. I tend to go more "spring" themed, but we definitely celebrate Easter as a religious holiday.

  • last year my dd had a firetruck easter basket. But that is at her fathers house, so this year I'm getting her a new one, unsure what I will get, it depends on what they have. i would love to get her a rubber ducky one though. lol.
