Pull-ups/training pant? Or underwear?

Do they make them in a size equivalant to a size 4 diaper?
And which works better for potty training?
Which did you have better luck with?

My DD is in a size 4 diaper. We are ready to start potty training sometime within the next month. But I dont recall seeing anything but 2 & 3t sizes for underwear and pull-ups.

  • I got annoyed with my son when i would put him in pull-ups b/c he thought they were still diapers and could go in them so one day i just put him in underwear and let him go. the first two times he wet himself but after that he hated being wet so he finally started using the potty. everytime he would go for the first few days we would give him a tootsie roll or M&M (he doesnt get candy much so it was rewarding to him) hes been going ever since. at night or long car trips we put a pull up on him just in case but so far he hasnt needed it. They do have size 4T in huggies overnights (we use them) but that is the only brand i could find so far!

  • We don't do pull-ups. We went straight to underwear. Lots of accidents the first few days, so we just stayed home. Once they've learned to control their bladder for an hour or so at a time, you can manage outings by having them go right before you leave, right when they get somewhere, and again an hour later. It's a pain for awhile but we didn't have any accidents in public in that initial phase (she waited till she was well-trained for that!). Pull-ups are confusing because most kids see them as diapers... why is it ok to pee in your pants at some times and not at others? That said, we do a diaper at night (we call them "night diapers" ) and that hasn't affected her daytime training at all. She trained in about a week at 19 months. Good luck.

  • MY DAUGHTER IS 2 1/2(28LBS) AND WORE A SIZE 4 DIAPER UNTIL RECENTLY , 2T/3T PULL UPS SHOULD FIT FINE! SHE WEARS 2T/3T UNDERWEAR NOW AND PULL UPS ONLY AT NIGHT! I REALLY RECOMMEND UNDER WEAR AND BRINGING HER TO THE POTTY EVERY HOUR!
