Do you measure Splenda the same as sugar when baking?

  • Splenda says you can, but it is WAY sweeter than sugar and I find the after taste is weird. And things like cake that depend on sugar for their structure don't work well. It's pretty much just trial an error. Baked good are supposed to be once in awhile treats, I personally focus less on making them "healthier" and more and moderation.

  • I'd like to just point out that you can use the loose, granulated version of Splenda in the same ratios as sugar, but please don't use the packets of Splenda for baking.

    I know it seems obvious, but I've learned on cafemom that one should always state the obvious, just in case...
