someone is trying to tell me..

that you still have an egg released every month on birth control, but have a misscarrage every month. I can't find any answers to that. Do you know? My doctors and even printouts about BC have said that there is no egg released..

  • there isn't an egg released when you are on the birth control pill. It prevents ovulation and the only way to miscarry is for the egg to be fertilized, and since bc prevents that from happening, no you dont miscarry every month. There was a time when a certain IUD would cause a fertilized egg to be miscarried but times have changed and now all an IUD does is create a hostile environment for sperm. I hop ethis helps

  • the way the pills works is that it basically tricks your body into already thinking that it's pregnant, therefore no egg is released. The person who gave you that information is incorrect.

  • If however, you are on the pill and you dont take it on time you may have a miscarriage.

  • taking the pill late will not cause a miscarriage. taking the pill(even the Plan B pill) while pregnant will not cause a miscarriage. while on birth control your body is tricked into thinking it is pregnant, so no egg is released.

some people need to brush up on their birth control facts.
