how far along are you, have you felt the baby before? try going for a walk, drink water or juice, or eat something sweet to get him/her stirred up. do fetal kick counts and if nothing happens within an hour i would call the doctor.

If you are 22 wks or farther and haven't felt anything for an hour, drink some orange juice and lay down with your feet up for 30 minutes, if you don't feel anything after that time please call your doc.

like the other answers....do something to help get your baby moving...something that usually works, if you're around 24 weeks or later you should know what gets that lil baby moving...but if you don't feel anything for about an hour....please go to the labor and delivery at the nearest hospital...please please do not wait.

Well when my baby moved and wedged a foot under my ribs and wouldnt move I used a bag of frozen peas on the part she was pressing on and sure enough the baby moved away from the cold spot. Dont leave it on for more than a few minutes though. It worked for me. The Dr. laughed when I told her how I got the baby to stop pushing on sensitive parts. Maybe this will work for you to get some movement. If your very worried call your doctor or his nurse and explaine your concern. They will listen.

I was nervous about my lazy baby and called my doctor a few times. They had told me to drink some soda or a sugary drink to get the baby moving. Lay on your left side and concentrate on your belly and baby for 1 hour and depending on how far along you are depends on how many kicks you should feel. If you just started feeling your baby it may not be as much. If your baby has room to move it may be up to 8 to 9 times. OR even if you are far along and your baby has little space to move around it may not be much. Again it depends on how far along you are. A lite nudge may get your little one to wiggle too.

Just like everyone else here has the right answer do something to try and make the baby move. I need to tell you from experience though when I was pregnant I had been told and I even read it on the internet that babies needed their "sleep" moments too well anyway point is I listened to that for maybe half a day before I changed my mind and went to the hospital they checked me out and said everything was fine went home. The next day I went again just beacuse I didnt feel right and they were about to discharge me until they heard the heartbeat slowing down they decided to an emergency section right then and there and discovered the umbelical cord was wrapped around her neck. So please if you dont feel right dont hesitate to go better safe than sorry. God bless and take care! :P
