  • DD stopped at 13 mos, and it was surprising, and out of character for her. 2 weeks later, found out I was pregnant, which was likely the reason for her sudden weaning. DS is 19 mos and is still nursing on demand.

  • Self weaned at 21 months, I was also a couple months pregnant so that could have been the reason. I had pretty rough morning sickness and wasn't eating at all, etc.

  • We did at 6 months but I wish I would have gone longer. Now it is over and no going back I had to go to work...still when I see other Mom's breastfeeding a part of me wishes I could nurse my son.

  • we started the weaning process at 18mo.. and very slowly weaned.. her last nursing was when she was 20mo... I recommend a slow weaning process for everyone. I never once got engorged & dd took it very well.
I will nurse longer with next baby. I feel i quit out of pressure because of all the non-bf in my family who think at 1yr a kid should be off the baby stuff (bottle & boob).

  • Breastfed both! 1st one was 15 months. 2nd one was 13 months.
My daughter bottle fed her 4 kiddos and she took their bottles on their 1st birthday and they all did fine.
