what side do the babies lay on. mine moves all over but when i lay down at night the right side gets really hard. Also why do babies move when you lay down and get comfortable and then when you are walking they don't move?

  • I think that when you move it is like a "rocking" movement and it makes them sleepy.

  • they move all around, but as they get bigger they have less room so they pretty much stay on either side, usually head down.

  • It's a personal preference for the baby as to what side it lays on. Most of the time I would imagine it's whatever side the mom-to-be is laying on. And less movement when you're walking could be one of two things, or a combination of both: firstly, the baby is soothed by the rhythmic motion (just like how babies will sometimes sleep better if you carry them around or take them for a car ride), and secondly, it could be that you don't notice all the movements the baby is making when you're already moving around.
