If your period is late do you count the day that it SHOULD have come as day one of your cycle? or the day that it actually does come as day one even though its late? My period was due last August on the 9th however I didn't get it until the 18th. My due date is May 16th. With day one of my pregnancy being the 9th...when my period SHOULD have started.

  • The first day of your cycle is the first day of your period, no matter whether it's late or early or on time. If they're estimating your due date from ultrasound, then it's not unusual to be a week or so off from your LMP. It's just coincidence, though, that that's when you should have started.
