  • the old wives tale says over 140 and its a girl but if your going on that for guessing your babies sex i dont suggest it.
    Im having a boy for sure and his heartrate from the start was always 143 or higher. its lowered now that we are closer to delivery but it goes to show that you cant go by that.

  • I think the heartrate method for telling gender is a old wives tale.... it has nothing to do with gender. A normal heartrate ranges from 130-170 and a little over or under should still be okay. Usually when the heartrate is higher, it is called an increased fluctuation and is caused by the baby's movement. The heartrate should increase when baby is active, thats what a NST test looks for.... Anyways, you'll just have to wait and see

  • my daughters heart rate was usually around160. with this pregnancy it is 167 and i find out in a couple weeks if it is a boy or girl
