  • I don't remember. I suffer from memory loss and she died when I was 11. I do have memories of her closeness, her essence, and her love, but I can't remember her face, her voice, or anything she said. I do remember that one of the last movies she saw before she died was "A Star Is Born" with Barbra Streisand in it and she would play that record album over and over again while we scrubbed floors together on our hands and knees. So I listen to that album today to keep that little memory alive.
God bless you all for remembering and heeding your mom's words.

  • Don't go into credit card debt.

When I was little she scared me spitless with stories of how furniture bought on credit can be taken away if you don't pay on time.

    We're debt free!

  • Um. Take care of your skin so you don't look old too fast. She hasn't taught me very deep wisdom unfortunately. I love her but I wish she would focus more inwardly.
