sour smell

My towels have that sour smell in them... anyone have any secrets to get that smell out or something to over power the smell?please help!

  • vinegar and soda. Let them soak and then wash them. The vinegar smell goes away.

  • bleach, yes even if they are colored. I let the washer fill up with water, then pour about a cup of bleach intothe water. It kills the smell, and doesn't bleach the clothes. I don'tknow how, but it doesn't, or i should say it hasn't yet, and i have done it for years. I guess it doesn't have enough time to set on the clothes. The only time i have had a mishap is wheni poured the bleach in befoer the water was full and it hit the clothes directly. Big no no.
