Why is it that when we KNOW the batteries in a remote are dead, we push the buttons harder?

  • Because we're lazy. Mine flashes on the tv screen that the batteries need to be changed. I figure I'm trying to get my money's worth out of them and completely drain them!
I also try to aim the remote so it's in a better line with the box, you know you don't need as much battery power if you aim better! lol

  • I know at least for me it's because I'm lazy and would rather beat up on my remote than haul my butt off the couch to change the channel or look for new batteries. I also sit there and switch the batteries around in a really sad attempt to get it to work for a few more minutes.
