This may be a silly question

But how do you know when a baby has a cold? And what can you give them for it?

I ask because I myself have a cold and I wouldnt be surprised if my baby (who is 4 mo) catches it from me. I dont really know how to tell if a baby has a cold or if I am supposed to give him medicine and if so what kind. So any help would be great =]

  • There is no OTC for babies anymore, besides they just mask the symptoms. You can use Motrin or Tylenol if they have a fever (check with doc for dosage ). I also have used motrin or Tylenol if i think my dd had a sore throat (can tell because she isn't eating just drinking - she's 16 months)
