Is it ok to take multivitamins along with the prenatal vitamins?

  • Not unless your doctor specifically told you to. The prenatal vitamin should have everything you need, and there IS such thing as too much of a good thing.

  • I don't think it is necessary. Also consuming too much of certain vitimins can have a negative effect. For instance too much vitimin A is bad for babby. Consult your doctor.

  • yeah most pregnant women dont realize that thier morning sickness is due to the fact they just go over load on the vitamins

  • dont take anything but your prenatal vitamins unless your dr tells you to. there are some vitamins that you can actually over dose on. vitamin a is one also iron is another.

  • YOu CAN overdose on 2 many vitamins ! ALso prenatals are better than mulitvitaitims!

  • Very bad idea. Talk to your doctor about this. I'm sure he will tell you that this is a dangerous practice. Too many of alot of those vitamins can cause certain defects.

  • Prenatals have all the vitamins you need...if your worried about not getting enough of something from your prenatal discuss it with your obgyn
