Trying to play my son's DVD's on my laptop need help...

I have tried to use Windows Media Player but it says I don't have a DVD Decoder. I have Googled it and can't find a free one that works....any suggestions? I don't have a TV yet, we just moved... :(

  • I need to know what operating system you are running. Vista or XP. What version of Windows media you have. 9, 10 or 11? Your computer should have come with another Dvd program Like HP power play. Cyberlink. etc. Try looking under programs to see if one is listed. If you only have WIndows media player. You may need to update.     If that doesn't solve it. Download the latest version of Windows media player. If you have the latest, Check for updates on Microsoft's web site.
