  • No. As long as your body temp doesn't rise too high, your baby wont be effected. If you sit in them for 10 min, etc, and can feel your whole body heat up.. its bad. Just taking a hot bath will not hurt the baby. You know when you get too hot, you get flustered your face feels hot, etc. If you sit in a bath and you can feel your body getting hot, it's time to get out.

You shouldn't have the temp above 100 degrees. That what midwives will set the birth pool temp at for the women to labor in, at least some do.. it gives it time to cool down. Jacuzzis are different because they don't cool off, the heat is constant, in a bath the water temp goes down.

  • i have taken hot showers with all of my kids and they are all fine. the only thing is if i stay in there too long i get dizzy because of the heat. you body will let you know when it doesn't like what you are doing. think about it this way, what is the difference between taking a hot shower and sitting on you porch during the summer when it is 100+ degrees outside.
