  • As far as packing it would depend on what type of dress it is. After packing the dress weight it and contact the post office to see how much shipping is on a package of that weight.

Go there and you have to weigh the dress, then pick what kind of shipping method you'll do.

  • You really should have checked that out before you listed the item. BUT, all is not lost! You can go to your post office and get a free specially marked large (rectangular as opposed to cube style) Priority Mail Flat Rate Box (domestic rate up to 70 pounds is $12.95 unless it recently went up).

ALWAYS purchase Delivery Confirmation (60 cents at the PO, free if you print and purchase online via USPS Click 'n Ship. SELLERS are responsible for items reaching the buyer in advertised condition, so it is the SELLERS responsibility to purchase INSURANCE up to whatever value YOU deem covers the replacement cost of the item, should you have to refund the buyer.

When packing your dress, carefully fold it and place WHITE tissue paper between each fold to minimize creasing. Place in a clear plastic bag, and tape closed--in case the box gets wet in transit rain, ice, etc

  • I would either take it to the Post Office, in which they go by weight of the dress; or we have a local UPS store that is cheaper than the post office to ship items. Usually the boxes are free!
