  • Yuck! And a waste of money. (My daughter made the most disgusted face when I offered her a bite of Gerber Pasta primavera. I tasted it myself and never bought a stage 3 again). But really, once they're ready for stage 3, in my opinion, they'd be much better served with table food! You can start easing them into this around 9 months. Soft pastas, mashed potatoes, cheese, then ease into things they'd have to chew a little more. They don't have to have teeth to chew, either.

  • m daughter would have nothing to do with the stage 3 baby food.. and i dont blame her because it looked, smelled, and tasted really bad!! she went from stage 2 to table food.

  • I totally skipped stage 3. My 9 month old still eats a few stage 2 mixed with cereal. The rest is table food. She now knows the difference and makes funny faces when eating her jar food.

  • Never. We introduced table foods at 6 months. Our pediatrician said stage 3 foods are not only a choking hazard (think about trying to swallow a mouth full of puree and suddenly finding a chunk) but they are simply a marketing ploy by the manufacturers. They were totally on all table foods by 9 months.

  • We went from stage one to table food. We just used the babyfood jars to check for allergies since they have a wide variety of flavors. Once we did that it was straight to table food.

  • never. I bought a jar of stage 3 and saw that they were just table food in chunks so I just gave them table food

  • My son never did. He didn't like them. He stuck with stage 2 until he was about a year old, then he started liking table foods.
