After thawing expressed breastmilk-

After thawing expressed breast milk, does it have to be used right away or can it sit at room temp. for 4-6 hours, like freshly expressed milk? I'm running errands today and wonder if I need to keep the milk cool in an icepack, or not.

  • I usually treat it the same. I don't let it sit out for the 8 hours. I usually get rid of the milk after 4 or 5 hours.
