How do I get my 11 month old to stop biting???

She is not doing it to be mean or out of anger. She just bites down on us... Little bites, not big open mouth bites. Those little teeth HURT!! She drew blood on my shoulder this morning!

  • You've been initiated! Unfortunatley they all seem to do this when they realize they have teeth. Mine started biting and then when he saw the reaction he kept doing it. It took us months to get him to stop.

All you can really do is keep telling her no....act sad...say owie and let her know it doesn't make you happy. Eventually it'll make sense to her.

  • Sounds like she's teething. Give her a chilled teething ring to chew on. Or a cold clean washcloth.
