OP here, why or why not? Isn't the internet mostly taking over their job anyway? Except for the junk mail, and we have to pay taxes and stamps just like we pay a fee to have UPS or FedEx ship things.

Uh, how do you figure no more tax dollars? You would have hundreds of thousands of people unemployed added to the already mounting unemployment rate. I see the tax dollars going up already.

How many people pay their bills online? I know that I do a lot of mine that way, and so do many others. That's why postage is going up so much. They still have to deliver bills / letters / junk to your house, so they still have to employ a certain amount of people to sort and deliver mail. But think about how much less expensive it is to send a letter via USPS compared to FedEx or UPS.
