How in the world do I open this???

Ummm...I have this Vanilla Extract bottle and I can not, fo the life of me, OPEN IT. It's stuck and my hands hurt now. Any tricks. LOL This sounds like a stupid question but I need it to cook.

  • run the top under some HOT water and then try again.

  • run the top part where the lid is under hot water for a while...

    or you can take the pointy side of a bottel opener and stick it under the lid and loosen it a bit, usually one of these tricks works for me!

  • Run it under warm water. Maybe it has some on the cap that you should rinse off.

  • Hammer,LOL....Really,,,I use a can opener..The little hook part..Put it under the lid.

  • tap it on the corner of the counter a few times after you run it under hot water for half a minute.

  • oh and if all else fails. use a pair of pliers to try and turn the cap.

  • after the hot water put an rubber band around the top and use that to hold on as you twist.

  • If all the other suggestions fail....Wash ur hands really good, dry them, then try to open them using a towel! If that fails, ask a man! :(

  • After I try for about a minute, I always hand it off to my husband. He gets it every time. I swear I loosen it for him though!!
