  • If you can try to invest a pass to go to all the parks that way you dont get bored just at one. Depending on how long you are there you can spend one day at Disney World for the kids and one day at Universal for you, etc. Also try to get a Fast Pass where you dont have to wait in those killer long lines. Have sunblock and of course keep an eye on your child(ren) and keep any valuables close to you. HAVE FUN!

  • Definitely stay within the park! Makes getting around a breeze and no need for rental car. And do the meal plan -- have heard that's the way to go. We spent a ton of money on food for the 4 of us & would have come out a lot better had we done the meal plan.

  • Depending on the ages of your kids, don't try to do the Magic Kingdom in one day. If you stay on the property, then spend a few hours in the morning in MK - go back to room for lunch & rest time - then go back again in afternoon.

There is a lot of MK & a lot of walking - so pace yourself.

  • Get a pass for all the parks and carry a arm leash for the young kiddos! It is easy for them to get lost in the huge crowd. Also carry a small pad and a pen in a fanny pack to mark down the gate you come in, what row you parked on and what you have done and want to do, mark them off when you stop for a rest. Rain ponchos!!

  • Get a Fast Pass for rides so you're not waiting in line forever and plan ahead of time where to go. Disney is pretty big so if you set a game plan, if may be easier to get done what you want to do. I also read recently that Disney is pretty lenient with people bringing their own food into the park. I'd double check about this, but if you're allowed, you can save money by bringing your own meals.

  • Find a seat for the parades AT least an hour before they start. We usually schedule a meal time or an ice cream break while we wait.

  • The best advice has already been said....invest in the park hopper passes and definitely stay in Disney. You miss too much staying out of the park. Have a blast! It's so much fun!
