sick child...

Sierra got sick for the first time on wed night with a fever of 101.0 then went down gradually on the next day. i took her to the doc and told me that she has a virus.. so keep giving her tynoel every four hours.. I think it was last night or this morning it was normal until about half an hour ago.. it went up to 99.5. She just pooped and it was greenish.. some are bright green mostly dark greenish.. i know its gross sorry! i just called the office it was closed.. am wondering if i should be concerned or not.... did that happen to you? Thanks!!!

  • 99.5 isn't a fever, not in a child under 1 especially. Greenish poop could definitely be the cause of a virus.

    I don't give tylenol but if you feel you need to then keep up what you are doing. Keep an eye on her too if you are worried!

  • when they are that little the doctor can't do anything anyway...Just keep giving her tylenol UNTIL the fever is broken for a day. It's easier to stay on top of it than to try to catch up to it. If he already told you its a virus, they can't do anything anyway. Unfortunately, it just has to run it's course.The greenish poop/diarrhea can be the virus coming out of her too. I wouldn't be too concerned. Her fever has come down so just give her tylenol for a little longer and keep her comfy. It sux when they get sick but good luck momma.:)
