  • prenatal care is important but if you are taking your vitamins you should be fine. You should get in to see a dr. soon though, just to be sure.

  • I worked full-time, went to school full-time, and am a single mom. I still managed to make it to my 1 appointment a month. Not time for excuses

  • you are not being a bad mommy. However prenatal care is very important and the dr. can track any illnesses or changes that occur during the pregnancy as well as giving you a due date and possibly telling you ahead of time the sex of the baby so you can better prepare before the baby arrives. There are also some standard tests that are done now during pregnancy to make sure everything is ok with you and the baby not to mention you should already be taking prenatal vitamins.

  • Prenatal care is NOT that important. Take vitamins, eat healthy, and you will be ok until you can see a doctor, some women NEVER see a doctor. What you can do is find a midwife, many of them: especially home birth midwives, come to your home :)

Your about to enter your second trimester. The one thing that I do in prenatal care, that is to me important, is the 20 w u/s to check for abnormalities or any possible birth defects or placental issues.

The tests, most of them aren't needed. They will do a blood test to check for RH status and any STD's. But you only need 1 u/s per pregnancy unless there are issues.

If you want to pm you can. You are not a bad mommy either, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

  • you should definetly go to to the doctor but its not going to kill you to not go right away.. women have been having babies without doctors for all of life.. haha its possible to bear a child without a doctor visit in your first trimester.. but go soon just so you know whats going on and what to expect.. doctors can tell you stuff you might not know otherwise and will ultimately make your baby healthier in the long run
