I would say to spend the money on a few good books, learn about portion control, and healthful eating. JC is just overpriced portioned meals. And they probably are loaded with junk:-)

Or even Weight Watchers over JC.

Jenny Craig is just another gimmick. The food is all portion controlled. Once you stop and go back to your former eating habits you'll gain the weight back. Look at Kirstie Alley.
You can portion control what you already eat without buying into a program. I found that by using portion control, I am saving money on groceries.
