SHOULD MOM BE CHARGED?

A friend of my daughter has a set of twin girls. She got high and drove around with the kids in the car.She had a wreck and one of the twins is ok but the other one has fluid on the brain and a broken neck. They have haloed her but are not expecting her to make it.If she does make it,she will be paralyzed.
They found drugs in her system and she is brain damaged too.

Should mom be charged and what could she be charged with???

  • Well, she could be charged with negligent homicide if the child unfortunately dies, reckless endangerment, DWI, and a whole slew of other goodies.

And YES, she should be charged.

  • Yes, she should be charged. If she had had another car and hurt a stranger in the same way she would be charged. She should be charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence, child endangerment and perhaps involuntary manslaughter.

  • If one twin dies, what will happen to the other one? They are identical. What if the twin is just paralyzed? They are 4 years old.

  • If one twin unfortunately passes away, then the charges will be greater (negligent homicide, manslaughter, etc..), and unless there is a father or family, the twin would go into the foster care system. If she is only paralyzed, then more than likely, mom will still be charged with lesser offenses, but I still think her children will be taken by CPS since she endangered them.

  • Oh shoot you need a psychologist for that one hon. No idea. She may need therapy from the trauma. They say that twins have a very special bond. I just dont know.
