why do mexican kids have 2 last names?

  • It's is their culture to keep the mother's family name as well. Other cultures do this as well.

  • I think it's cool that they do that because it shows the family of both parents so the kids are less likely to marry relatives lol In Europe I think it is, they carry the mom's first and last name on their name too.... now that was really cool

  • Not all mexicans do, some white people do, some black people do, etc.
