  • That it's EVERY presidents right to hire and fire the attorney generals that he wants. Pretty sure Clinton did the same thing. Bush just waited longer than others.

    Actually it is SOP for each president to appoint new US Attys at the beginning of his first term as Bush Sr, Bush Jr and Clinton did however it is unprecedented for a president to fire one of his own appointees unless there has been gross misconduct. Bush Jr did appoint his own Attys at the beginning of his first term and then fired a handful of them, allegedly for not toeing the party line and prosecuting enough Democrats. Illegal? No. Unethical? Yes. The Justice Dept SHOULD NOT be partisan.


    I will be interested to see what information comes out.

    LOL..First, the investigation started 2 years ago.HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH President Obama!


    second...If it was something illegal that happened, I definately want to know about it. Does being president give you the right to break the law?
