What are some ways to induce labor?

I am 36 weeks and already a 4 and my cervics is half gone. my dr said i will not last till my due date. what r some ways to hurry the process up?

  • Sex is the only way that I know to induce.

  • theres all the normal ways walking alot, having sex, ummm can't think of that stuff u can drink huuummm hope this helps

  • They say you shouldn't have the baby until 37 weeks. However I've heard lots of walking and activity, if your membranes stripped sex is a real good way.

  • Sex have lots of it and walk alot as a bumpy car ride may help it worked with my mother to have me.

  • I was at 3cm and 50% effaced when I was that far and I stil made it right to my de date.
    I don't know if it helped me go into labor but the day before i walked alot and i had sex that night.

  • ive heard of drinkin castor oil! it gives you diarreah really bad but its like an old remedy to enduce labor!

  • Since you've already started to dilate, it can't hurt to try evening primrose oil capsules. They don't "bring on" labor, but they help you dilate (much like sex). I can't see someone dilating and NOT going into labor...
