  • Cut up pieces of whatever you're eating. Babies don't chew with teeth, they don't matter. They gum their food until they get molars, and that's when they get chewier foods.

  • My son is 9 months old and he loves to eat beans, banana slices, chunks of avocado, ripe pear slices, and baby yogurt, just to name a few things. We don't even do jar food.

  • It doesn't matter how many teeth they have... they chew with their gums not teeth. So like the pp said anything you can mash with your fingers they can eat.
My son eats (8 months) - bread, crackers, small pieces of meat, noodles, soft veges (like cooked carrots and green beans), soft fruit, Gerber foods- puffs, wagon wheels, yogurt melts, freeze fried fruits, cheese, dry cereal
