Can anyone give me tips on alternating tylenol and motrin? Thanks!

My 22 month old has an upper respiratory infection and my 10 month old has an ear infection. The doc said to keep them comfortable with Motrin and Tylenol every 3-4 hours.

  • I always start with the motrin bc the tylenol never really helps my kids.

  • every 4 hours alternate....tylenol will keep the fever down while motrin will help with the pain

  • Tylenol last 4 hrs. Motrin lasts for 6. Alternate accordingly.

  • I do Motrin then 3-4 hours later Tylonal then 3-4 hours later on and so forth.
