Coffee pot question...

Our coffee pot has slowed down considerably as of this a sign that we need to replace it? Or is there something we can do to fix it?

  • you might have mineral deposits clogging the holes.

    try a mixture of vinegar and water and run it like you were making coffee. that should help.

  • Have you cleaned it lately? There should be some sort of clean cycle-with mine I fill it to the 10 cup line with water and then fill it the rest of the way with vinegar and run it. Helps mine.

  • You have lime built up on the water tube. Just fill your pot with vinegar and run it through the coffee pot (like making a pot of coffee - no filter or anything). Let it cool off and run it back through the coffee pot. I usually do this a couple of times. Then run a couple pots of just plain water through it to rinse the vinegar out. Works like a charm!

  • they also sell a cleaner you can run through your coffee maker. But I agree the vinegar solution should work.

  • You can try vinegar and if that doesn't work, try Lime away - just be sure to run clear water through it after at least four times!
