Would you, yourself breastfeed after 2 years old?

Seriously, since some many people on her think it's "ok" to breastfed at 5, how many have breastfed a baby after they where 2?

Why or why not?

  • NOPE, when they are old enough to ask you for it, or pull your shirt up in public. THEY ARE TOO OLD. lol. I stopped when my kids were right at 12 months.

  • If I had to for my baby's health, yes.

I stopped somewhere between 18-24 months.

  • Why would you have to for your babies heath? When do you consider them NOT a baby. I consider a 3, 4, or 5 year old a child, not a baby needing breastmilk. They should be on solid adult food by that time. So a healthy diet of fruits, veggies, meats and breads are what they need.

  • Yes, I would. I have not, yet. My daughter weaned when I got pregnant with my son, and she was only 13 months old at the time. My son is almost 20 months old and still nurses.

  • Yes I would, I plan on letting my daughter breastfeed until she wants to stop. If that means 2 great! Two is my minimum. If that means 5, well then, we'll see what our situation is. I will not force her to stop, but I do not see her continuing past 3.

  • Yes I absolutely would. And why are we on this lame ass topic again? Do we really need this drama? We all know what it is going to turn into, so let's just live and let live.

  • Arrggh. why does anyone care what I do with my own kids. Anyways, yes, I am nursing my 2 1/2 year old twins.

Why? Because I feel this is beneficial for them. I have no issues with it, although I am hoping for them to wean soon.

I think it's so sad that people have such hang ups with breastfeeding. You don't want to nurse past whatever age, fine don't.

  • I was naive about breastfeeding with my first and couldn't get her to latch and gave up. My next, two is the minimum I plan to nurse until. I will allow that child to self-wean.

  • Personally, its really up to my son. He is 20 months right now and still nursing. I will let him self wean. To each their own.
