How do you get vasoline out of hair?

My friend's daughter put tons of it in her hair and they have been trying to get thevasoline out of it for 5 days now! please any suggestions?

  • Well my step-son was slipper for a week in half after he got into a big tube of it. Get ready for some more tubbies. you may want to go to ( or (webmd) tell her good luck.

  • My son did this when he was little.. we had to call Vaseline - and they said.. get a blow dryer.. blow the hair as dry as you can get it.. the vaseline will flake out with a comb.
    Every time you get it wet.. it will just make it worse.

    So.. dry and comb.. dry.. and comb.
    Have fun.. it's a pain the butt..

  • hey.. i checked .. they also say if you have cornstarch - that will help absorb it.. and dry it out also.

  • I have heard Dawn dishsoap works. It may take a few washes. Call someone who cuts hair, they may have some ideas too.

  • Hi, been there ugh....I used baby oil to break it down, and one wash with dawn got the baby oil out :) hope that helps!
