Foward Facing Car Seat Question?

I just got a new foward facing car seat for children 3 and up and over 45 lbs. its taller to protect them. but, all that holds in is the trucks seatbelt? I guess I'm used to the other harness one that keeps them in with the harness on the carseat. I'm confused? is this right?

  • sounds like a booster seat.. i have one for my dd who is 2 (she weighs 40lbs & is over 3ft tall) it holds her just fine... still makes me a little nervous tho, i guess it's just a mommy thing

  • hmm, it sounds like a booster and they are not safe for children under a certain age. I wouldn't put my daughter in one, a 5 point harness is definitely safer for as long as possible. (my dd is 2. 30 lbs and 3 ft tall).
