potato wedges

I need some recipes for potato wedges. What do you season them with? How do you cook them (baked, fried, etc.)? And how long do you cook them for? Thanks.

  • I add season salt and fry them until they are crisp...not crunchy but lightly crisp

  • 1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt (yes, garlic salt)
    1/2 tsp powdered mustard
    1 tsp smoked paprika
    1 tsp sugar

Mix all together, toss in a bag with 1 tbsp olive oil and potatoes until potatoes are well covered. Bake at 400 for 35-45 minutes (depending on how big you made your wedges.)
You an also add spicier things like cayenne, if you want it spicier.

  • I take a seasoning blend. (any really, we like cajun, but you name it, i've used it.) Rosemary and garlic is also yummy

Toss the wedges (skin on) in oil. I use olive, spread on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper- this will save your sanity or your water bill later, sprinkle on seasoning, and bake at 425 until brown and crisp, 20-40 minutes, turning once. (cook time depends on the type of potato and the size of the wedge)

  • I mix 2 tsp italian seasoning, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder , and 1/2 tsp salt with 1/4 cup olive oil then toss with the potatoes, place in a single layer on a cookie sheet, and bake at 425 for 20-30 minutes til the outsides are browned and crispy and the insides are creamy. We love them and use them as a healthy replacement for fries.

  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Cut up 6 medium potatoes any way you like....wedges, 3/4 inch cubes or like french fries. Mix seasonings together in a resealable plastic bag, add potatoes and seal the bag. Hold the sealed end and shake the bag until all potatoes are coated evenly. Turn them out onto a large cookie sheet or pizza pan that has been coated with 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes.

My family LOVES these! They go great with chicken, pork, beef or fish entrees.

  • I coat mine with olive oil, season salt, pepper, a little garlic powder and some chili powder. Turn them every 10 minutes to keep them from sticking to pan and the last 10 minutes sometimes sprinkle parm ccheese on them.
