  • We were advised to not have an elaborate honeymoon right after the wedding but to go someplace a comfortable distance away were we could relax after the excitement and activity of the wedding. The following year we went to Europe. A great place to go is Hawaii, very romantic. A fun place is Disneyworld. My son and his wife like the Grand Caymans.

  • I think the Cook Islands or Bora Bora are to die for especially for a honeymoon. Cook islands are as beautiful but more affordable than Bora Bora. Other ideas would be Phuket, Thailand, The Maldives, Santorini, Greece, you can never go wrong here. Closer would be Tulum, Mexico, St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean. Caymans are really great for water sports but it's flat and not as tropical as say, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Grenada. Try posting on Fodors.com under specific areas to narrow your search. Congrats!

  • We went to the Bahamas!! This has been my only Honeymoon, so to me IT WAS THE BEST!!! haha.. :) We got an all inclusive so drinks, food and tip were included with our package and we we got married in Sept. so we beat the spring/summer crowd and had the beach to ourselves. It was very romantic.

  • We didn't really have a honeymoon....we went camping and just did some fun things that could involve taking the whole family.....but we have had weekend trips and vacation getaways to the Smoky Mts. and it's very romantic and won't cost you an arm and a leg. The cabins are to die for nice and most all of them have heart shape jacuzzi tubs and outdoor hot tubs. Most are secluded. Most all have fireplaces too, which of course would only be nice, if it was cooler weather. I guess it depends on how much money you can afford to spend and how far you want to travel.

  • We went to Jamaica and it was absolutely amazing!!! We stayed at Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay. It was really cheap too in the big scheme of things. We paid $1400 for an entire week at an all inclusive resort and that included flight too! We had an awesome time. We've been back since and it was just as awesome as I remembered.

  • The place isn't really that important.  It's the quality time that you spend together that counts.

We just threw a couple of suitcases in the trunk of the car and had a blast driving around France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Holland for a couple of weeks.

  • i did a 9 day jamaica honeymoon...all inclusive! the resort had like 4 restraunts, grills open 24/7, bars with top shelf liquor (all you can drink), clubs, pools, watersports, diving..and it was all included!! we only tipped our sky cabbie when he carried our bags for us when we arrived...other than that i think the grand total WITH AIRFARE was about 1800. a STEAL for us newlyweds who are slaves to the military lol..we knew there would be no other time he could get that much leave and be allowed to leave country without risk of recalls and crap. honestly we will never spend that much again for a vacation im sure, but it was so worth it! we stayed at Hedonism in jamaica...lol..fyi..that place aint for the prudish if ya get my drift!! the island is very tourist friendly and everyone was willing to talk to you or help you out, also...no language barrier. which was a biggie considering all that free booze. hope you find something!
