Cloth diapers and electric washer and dryer: cost of laundry???

I've already asked once, but either I wasn't clear or nobody knows the answer.
I'll even ask in several categories this time, and narrow down and modify the question...hopefully someone, somewhere can give me an answer.

For moms that use cloth diapers and have electric washer/dryer: How much did your electric bill go up after you started using cloth diapers? Are we talking a $10 a month increase? $20? Or higher?

  • well it depends...
how many cloth diapers do you have? how many times a day are you willing to wash?
how old is the baby (it's relevant for the number or dirty diapers)
how much does kwh costs ?
how electric efficient are your washer and drier?

    aren't those expensive?
I would say from 10 to 40 dollars a month

  • Okay, I went onto BBC and asked and pretty much all the cloth diapering moms said that they didn't see much of a difference in their electric bills, maybe 5-10 bucks.
