How do I substitute dry milk and water for real milk in a recipe?

I am making a recipe that calls for 1 cup water and 2 cups dry milk. Anyone know how much real milk that would be? I think it would be more than 1 cup.

  • My Betty Crocker cookbook says 1 cup milk = 1cup dry milk + 2 teaspoons butter. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but it sounds like you can do 2 cups of milk and be okay. Maybe you could add it slowly and see the consistency if the recipe allows.
