  • My son never spit up. I breastfed him for a little over a year. He never had formula. I did use the burp clothes for other things like cleaning up spills. So they came in handy eventually. But I burped him often and he never had a problem with spit up.

  • Never used burp cloths. The one time she spit up was when the hospital gave her formula without telling me.

  • I breastfeed and my girl only spits up when she guzzles too much too fast. When I burp her I just toss a recieving blanket over my shoulder just incase. It's easier than going to grab a burp cloth.

  • Breastfeeding is the best I can tell you this because when my first son was born I did not breastfeed and I clearly remember I used to use lots of cloths. Now with my 10 month old son I'm full time breastfeeding and I can't explain what a huge difference it is. With my second baby I bought only 4 cloths I don't use them now. I'm still breastfeeding and loving it. If you can keep breastfeeding your baby.

  • I always had them close by. I have a drooler. She spits up rarely, but it still does happen. Burp cloths come in handy for more things that just spit up, so I wouldn't write them off just yet.

  • My son almost never spit. We used them more when he was really young and sometimes he would spit... but not after he was a couple of months

  • My baby spits up almost each time I feed her... I definitely keep burp towels around everywhere! My favorite is to use cloth diapers for the burp towels.. they are soft and a decent size (rather than the "burp clothes" they sell in the store that are too small and too thin).
