Is my baby eating enough?

I know this has been posted numerous time but reading others responses has made me think i am not feeding my dd enough. We just went to her 6 month check up and her pedi said she weighs 17lbs 2 oz and is 27 inches long which is normal. But compared to what i hear other moms doing i feel like i am not feeding her enough solids and formula.

She gets 4 7oz bottles a day

Breakfast: 3 tablespoons rice cereal with 2 tablespoons fruit

Lunch: Half a jar(4 tablesoons) or Half a tub (3 Tablespoons) of Fruit or Veggies

Dinner: Half a jar(4 tablesoons) or Half a tub (3 Tablespoons) of Fruit or Veggies

Does this seem like enough? Iknow each baby is different but should i be feeding her more? I also wanted to know when i could start feeding her baby foods with meat in them like turkey with gravy or chicken noodle soup things like that.

  • Yes. It sounds FINE. Never mind what other moms are doing! Comparing babies is the road to madness.

  • You can't compare to what other moms are doing.

She's still on a lot of baby food. Baby food is extra, for practice, not for nutrition. Until she's starts table foods, her main source of food is her formula. If you think she needs more food, offer her more formula, or start offering table foods. There's nothing to baby food.

If she's full and satisfied, you can't make her eat more. Yes, my kids ate a TON more than your daughter. But that's my kids. They still have huge appetites. lol
