  • Rent. No probably groceries. Between the two it runs a close tie. We will spend anywhere from 300-600 a month on groceries depending on the season and the schedules we have. I spend $550 in rent.

  • Our vehicles... Two car payments, full coverage insurance for both, and gas... I figured out that it takes about 60 percent of my husband's income.

Can't wait til we renew our insurance tho... both my husband's ticket will be off his insurance record... and that should drop our insurance about 100 dollars.

  • Savings and investments. We spend only 800 a month on our rent. We put 3500 a month into retirement, savings and investments. We spend 250 a month on groceries and only 400 a month on other bills. We have another 2500 to just spend how we want. When we find our home we will spend another 800 on housing.

  • Household bills takes up 46% of our income. That is ALL of our bills, including mortgage, insurance, credit cards, etc. Groceries come up second with 15% of the income. The rest goes to our savings, paying down debt, charities, and paying for our weekday expenditures.
