Diet pop vs. Regular..

I recently switched to diet pop because I thought maybe it would help me lose some weight. Will it even make a difference?

  • if you are on the diet to lose weight, you should consider to forget about soda and especially "diet", it's super unhealthy, full of artificial stuff , it's junk for your body.

  • Probably not. Diet is actually worse for you than reg. pop. But ultimately, you should probably cut out the pop all together. OR drink it once a week, maybe on Fridays when you have pizza night or something.

  • My trainer actually said if I was going to drink soda to sick to regluar. Diet is really bad for you.

  • Yes, diet pop is a good idea!! First of all if you have been having several cans of pop a day you are actually consuming a butt load of sugar. By switching to diet pop you can get out of the habit of the sugar filled sodas and then try and gradually drink more and more water, coffee with no sugar, green tea (helps to curb cravings) and the vitamin water drinks are good as well. They are much lower in calories then a can of soda and have nutrients that a can of pop does not have. Not the sports drinks, they have a lot of sodium.
    It wouldnt be a good idea to drink an access of diet since it isnt the best for you, but in moderation and by replacing the pop with other low calorie drinks (water, tea, coffee) it will aid in your weight loss. Also diet pop can cause some bloating but it doesnt last long!

  • You would be much better off giving up soda altogether and drinking soda.

    People think that diet soda's are better for you because they say "diet". In actuality, the artificial sweeteners used in diet sodas are not good for you, many of which have worse side affects than making you fat.

    Women should also note that the carbonation in soda is not good for your bones.

  • Diet has a lot of 'fillers' in it that make you think it's healthy. Actually it's just as bad, if not worse, as regular soda. I think it also contains aspartame which is not good on your health. It's better to quit soda all together.
