  • Fevers are fighting off infection/illness and can last up to three days. It's also normal for a fever to go up and down even with taking a fever reducer. Is he eating drinking, even a little bit? If he isn't acting "normal" I would be more concerned like being lethargic. You may want to call the pedi to be sure.

  • i freaked out when mine had it too? is he sick, if so get him into the er. if not, then he's probably just teething. i took mine to the doc right away and they said he was just teething

  • also they said babies have higher temperatures than we do. how long ago did you give him the tylenol, tylenol is a fever reducer and that should bring his temp down, if not definitly get him into the emergency room

  • thats how mine was. just wait like 1-2 hours and take his temp again, he should have it down a little bit. do you have baby orajel? try that, his gums might be really inflamed and thats whats causing it

  • any fever over 100.4 is not teething. if tylenol doesnt work give him motrin, then put him to bed and see how he is in the morn.

  • Try some popsicles, a cool bath or rub-down with a cool cloth, and alternate with motrin/ tylenol. Since he is acting fine, he probably is. Just watch for any sudden change in energy or appetite. Most pedi's will not want you to bring them in until they hit 103 or above.
