Does ANYONE know how to semi-permanently divide up a bedroom?

Okay, curtains and those foldable screens are not what I'm talking about. It has to be like a wall with a door (entrance) to the other part of the room. Dry wall is too permanent.

so we thought of Accordion doors but we saw some at Home Depot and found they are quite wimpy (with a toddler around). So then we thought of giant sliding closet doors across the bedroom on tracks but then realized we would have to cut our carpets out to tack the bottom track.

Does anyone have any other ideas? It's difficult to figure out. I want to split up a bedroom to make two rooms, easy to do (sort of do it yourself) and without like calling a contractor.

I'm about ready to go buy cubicles and use those.

  • they have removable walls. Have no idea where you get them but the old owners of our house closed up our garage and put a wall to hide the water heater and it's all removable.
