What age should a child start wearing deodorant?

I'm about to slap my sister for allowing my 5 year old niece to wear deodorant.

  • I don't think I started wearing deodorant until like 8th grade. They must be stinking sooner these days! lol

  • Whenever the child begins to have underarm odor; for a younger child I would only choose deodorants that do not contain aluminum.

  • Krysta Im not upset at all ...it was more like a figure of speech{with the slapping part} ...it just didn't sit well with me. oh and that is my lil niecy and yes I will have my opinion on anything that goes on in her life. I just wanted to hear other moms voice their opinion on the subject matter.
