  • Actually MissKellee, you can't use fake tanner either. It can absord into your blood stream and poison your baby. You cannot tan in a tanning bed, use spray tan or rub fake tan on while pregnant. You just have to go outside and sit in the sun.

  • yahh, you really shouldn't tan while pregnant. But i dont understand why you cant use rub on tanning lotion, whats the difference btwn that and using lotion after a shower. NOTHING.

  • To answer the question (since the whether or not you even should aspect has been talked about) stretchmarks do not tan; they are damaged skin and tanning almost always makes them look worse; and actually can impede healing. Stretchmarks usually fade over time, but they need to be treated like scar tissue, which should be protected from the sun. Tanning beds can also increase the chance of chloasma (random dark splotches on your face and body during pregnancy.) You would have better results with a fake tanner. According to dermatologists: the ingredients in self-tanners are harmless, so it's fine to use them during pregnancy. These lotions and sprays are basically dyes that stay on the surface of your skin and won't harm your developing baby. Tanning beds are a different story - they are not recommended.

  • You can not tan in a tanning bed while pregnant. However- I have 3 year old stretch marks on my butt that looked horrible- I have now been tanning for 2 months and you can't even tell I had stretch marks now. So wait until after you have the baby and use lots of after tan lotion
