  • It doesn't. We could celebrate Christmas on Aug. 3,and it wouldn't matter. We aren't celebrating WHEN Jesus was born, but THAT Jesus was born. Same with Easter. We could celebrate it Oct. 12,and it wouldn't matter. We aren't celebrating WHEN Jesus rose from the grave, but THAT HE did,and conquered death,to give us all life eternal, and hope.

  • If I'm not mistaken I don't think there was ever an actual date given for either holiday. I think based on the evidence of the events, the actual days were just kind of "made up."

  • there is no christmas or easter in the bible. it's just what we call it to celebrate his birth, death and resurrection. nobody knows when he was born, when he was crucified or rose from the dead, those are just the dates we decided to celebrate it.

  • it doesnt because christmas is a pagan holiday. it doesnt say the exact time of year or when jesus was born. same with easter. we dont know what time of year he was resurrected.

  • It doesn't, those are just traditions started by man over a long period of time.

  • There was a huge study done on Bible details of when and where Jesus was actually born. They think Jesus may actually have been born in the spring. The Easter and Christmas holidays were actually somewhere along the line mixed with pagan holidays that land on seasons. Easter eggs, rabbits and baby chicks were representations of the goddess of fertility, which happen to represent spring. And Christmas is made up of many beliefs and traditions everywhere!

  • Jesus was not born in December. that has been proved by scholars over time.

but Easter was in spring. the reason Easter isnt alway in the same month has to do w/ it. Easter is based off of the day of Passover which depends on the Jewish calender. Jesus was resurrected 3 days after Passover.
